Groundbreaking Tomorrow

Tomorrow is that day we’ve been waiting so long for: construction is going to begin. The equipment is being dropped off today, and our builder, Ted Jr., is all set to start hauling away Mt. Ballard (the nickname of the big pile of dirt on our lot) and start digging the foundation early tomorrow morning. Clearly, a celebration is in order.

If you’re in the area, come check out our “official” ribbon-cutting and groundbreaking ceremony tomorrow, Saturday, May 7, at 9:30am. We’ll have mimosas and truck loads of dirt.

What: Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
When: Saturday, May 7, 9:30am
Where: 612 NW 60th St., Ballard
Why: To celebrate the groundbreaking for Seattle’s first zero-energy house (and our future home)

We hope to see you tomorrow!
