Another big day on the building site. Ted and crew put up the rest of the first-floor wall panels, so the entire perimeter is now enclosed. It’s finally starting to feel like a house, and we got our first real glimpse of how big the interior space and the windows will be. It was a breezy day, and Ted said that some of the panels were pretty difficult to raise by hand because they would get buffeted by the wind, especially the tall panels in the living room, which reach all the way up to where the vaulted ceiling will be. They managed to pull it off with ropes, ladders, and, I’m guessing, a fair amount of swearing.
The next step will be framing the second floor, which sits on top of the first level of panels.
